Summary : Modernise the Basic Training Fishery by developing digital, modular, and multilingual training content.

Summary : Blue Jobs through Blue Careers. Shaping the future of fisheries and aquaculture in developing a training pathway for young people and adults to acquire the competencies and skills needed to support the EU Green Deal and contribute to Blue Growth. By providing professional training and fostering strong collaborative networks in the EU, BOUTCAR seeks to raise awareness and attractiveness in Blue Careers.

Pillars of the Sea III

Summary : The project as a whole, is a continuation of the Pillars of the Sea II project, and in partially implementing the work programme of the Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee for Sea Fishing in order to significantly make progress in various key areas of interest for Social Partners. The initiative emphasises fair recruitment, worker safety, occupational health, and effective communication for multinational crews, paving the way for a safer and more worker-friendly industry worldwide.

Green to Blue

Summary: Improving professional skills in sustainability of adults working in the fishery and fish farming sector. The project intends to expand and develop the training offer with courses aimed at raising levels of competence and qualification in the environmental field, a field with multiple meanings such as: Management of natural resources, prevention of marine pollution, water quality, sea-gathered waste management, et cetera.

Pillars of the Sea II

Summary : The project is a continuation of the Pillars of the Sea project, and in partially implementing the work programme of the Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee for Sea Fishing in order to significantly make progress in various key areas of interest for Social Partners. The main issues covered by the project allowed the production of one study and one phone application with the aim to improve EU legislation regarding training, safety, accommodation, business efficiency and free movement of workers.

Virtual Reality for Maritime Emergencies

Summary: Training programme and Virtual Reality Simulator for Maritime Emergencies on board a fishing vessel (fire on board, abandoning ship, man overboard), a very innovative tool in the industry to bring the training in emergencies to a higher level. 

Catching the potential

Summary : Enhancing sustainability training of fishermen and women on marine ecology and the role of fishing in the marine ecosystem. Exchanging new pefagogical/training methods and development of country/region specific training programs and content in 7 EU countries. The ultimate goal is to develop a EU-standard for adequate and uniform competence requirements for fishers.
